The buzz has been going for weeks about the new Mac and Wonder Woman make-up collaboration and last week on a trip to the Trafford Centre, Manchester i decided to invest. It was pretty hard to get near the counter and the product as Selfridges staff from other departments had all come and formed a semi circle around testing everything out. (Surely they shouldn't get first dibs on new products just because they work there.? Especially as they were still supposed to be working.!)
I tested out this nail varnish, I wish I'd taken a picture but I totally forgot. To be honest I was disappointed. It's not the best red that it could have been. Slightly garish. I much prefer my Chanel nail varnish in Fire to this.
Next I spotted the face compacts. They contain a highlighter, a bronzer and a blush.
The main reason i bought this is because of the packaging. It just looks so amazing. There are two colours to choose from, a darker and a lighter palette. I opted for the darker as i like to be fairly bronzed and I have dark hair.
I used this for the first time today and I was unhappy with the result. I used it not as directed but by simply taking a bronzing brush and circling it around the compact. I think i looked like an orange, yet this bronze is not as dark as what I would normal wear, the Benefit Hoola. It may possibly be that i applied too much, or that it doesn't match with a heavy foundation. Tomorrow is another day and i shall try again, only this time wearing my sadly discontinued Chanel Teint Innocence foundation instead of the new Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.
